Marinesafes/Firetec provided system training to VIKING team

Following a multi-year partnership agreement between Marinesafes/Firetec and Viking A/S in July 2019, a full system training was held during December 2019 in Shanghai for VIKING technician team.

The 3 days training covers most of the fire-extinguishing systems, includes CO2 system, high expansion foam system, deck foam system, dry chemical powder system, and also water system. The training will enable Viking team to be able to perform global service for FIretec systems, which covers most of the ports around the globe. “By combining Viking’s global service network and quality standards with Firetec/Marinesafes’s systems, we are confident that Firetec/Marinesafes will be able to bring quality and reliable customer service to our customers globally, and be the trusted safety partner for our customers, including shipyards and ship owners”, says Firetec’s managing director James Wang.

Firetec’s firefighting equipment has been installed on over 300 vessels to date, most of which have been built in regions where VIKING already has significant market shares.
