Hi Expansion Foam Fire Extinguishing System
High Expansion foam system is a multi-level released fire-extinguishing system. During fire fighting, water is used first and followed by foam. When design and install this system, it can be used as a partial fire extinguishing system, or a total flooding system for the engine room and the pump room protection. The foam generators installed in the protected areas, used the internal air to produce foam which pour out directly from the foam generators.
The most important thing is that the fire sprinklers in the initial start-up quickly reduce the heat and fire hazards with water spraying about 90 seconds, the crews in the protected area have sufficient time to evacuate. As per rules, if portable fire extinguishers cannot put off the fire, the system shall starts automatically to generate foam. It provides a high security by rapid reaction of water spray as well as foam generating process, which gives a high standard to secure personnel as well as assets.
Features:
■ Lower System Cost
■ Low cost Re-filling foam
■ High efficiency for fight fire effect
■ Full immersion
■ Comparing to CO2 system, not harmful to human life
System Components
Distribution lines and generators
The distribution valves in the connecting area leads to the distributing pipeline and foam generators in the protection area. It is a dry pipeline, there will be water and foam liquid only when the system operates, with foam generated from each of the generator. There is no specific requirement for using fresh or sea water with galvanized steel distribution pipes or equivalent material. The foam generators in the protected area shall be placed above those high fire danger areas for a direct coverage.
Foam unit
The main component of foam central is the foam tank (concentrated liquid of internal stored foam), and the mixed devices of foam proportion (including pump, the ratio mixer, valve).
District choice valve
These valves are corresponded to different protected areas, which can be operated by remote control box or manually operated.
Control Cabinet
The systems operate through control cabinet, install at foam control room. The button on the control cabinet can handle to release corresponding to the protected areas. There are indicating lights and system test buttons on the control box. This system can be operated locally, if the owner needs, it can be addition operated by remote control in the fire control room or other sites.
