Water deluge system
Deluge Systems are intended to deliver large quantities of water over a large area in a relatively short period of time, they are normally used in places that are considered as high hazard areas.
The systems are differ from conventional Fire Sprinkler Systems in the sense that all nozzles employed in the system are open, when water is released into the system it flows from all discharge devices. There are variety to release the systems:
- Hydraulic Actuation
- Pneumatic Actuation
- Electric Actuation
- Pneu-Electric Actuation
Deluge skids are also available for installations where it is necessary to install the valve skid adjacent to the protected area. Firetec will customize the skid arrangement according to customer's requirement or to meet specific design criteria.
A standard design for deluge skids are normally supplied as open skid units. The valve skids will normally include a manual by-pass valve, instrument air control, or direct firewater control for system release, or with rigid lightweight corrugated stainless steel enclosure.
- Deluge Valve material available in cast steel, NI/AL/BR and up to Titanium;
- Valve size available from 3" to 12";
- Approval - UL, ABS,DNV and all other major classifications
